One of our most important clients (and friend) Paul White of Town & Country Housing Group has won this year’s Sustainable Housing award for Social Housing Green Champion – so a big congratulations to him.
It’s been satisfying working on a diverse range of innovative projects with Paul over the last four years – though a couple of them have had steep learning curves for both of us.
We do the FiT & RHI monitoring for Town & Country, and provide Paul with ongoing advice, guidance, analysis – and sometimes counselling..!!
It’s extremely gratifying to see Paul win this award – he deserves it for his dedication and commitment to sustainability and his ambition to always do more.
From the TCHG website
Paul White, Town & Country Housing Group’s Design & Quality Manager, has been hailed as the UK’s Green Social Housing Champion.
Paul’s job is to manage and promote best practice, innovation and sustainability when Town & Country builds new homes or improves existing homes so that they are warm and weatherproof and residents’ fuel bills are kept down. This includes making sure homes are well insulated and making use of green technologies such as heat pumps, solar panels and voltage optimisers, devices that manage the electric current in a home so that appliances operate cost-effectively.
The awards were organised by Inside Housing magazine. The judges said: “Paul’s enthusiasm and passion are infectious, and his project management and eye for detail is impressive. His liaison with tenants is always a priority. A thoroughly engaging green professional!”
